Ronald McDonald Playroom

          Since 2001, Ronald McDonald House Thailand has built, renovated and decorated the playrooms located at hospitals and orphanage houses so hospitalized children and orphans can relax and play with friends while waiting to see doctors.


          The Playroom located a few steps from a child’s bedside in the government hospital. The room focuses on the liveliness and is equipped with cartoon books, DVDs, toys so the children can relax and enjoy activities during their treatment.

Currently, the Playroom is located at several government hospitals and children foundations such as:

      5. Two dormitories for kindergarten boys at Wat Sa Kaeo’s Home for Orphaned and Poor Children, Ang Thong.
      6. A multi-functional building for girls at Wat Sa Kaeo’s Home for Orphaned and Poor Children, Ang Thong.

          RMHC plans and allocates the budget to refresh the Ronald McDonald Playrooms every 2-3 years so the rooms are in good conditions and ready to service children and children care takers. Since 2001, the Playrooms at government hospitals and orphanage houses has served more than 4 million children.
