Mrs. Sareeda has been taking care of Nong Nudee, who was diagnosed with dilated cardiomyopathy at just 15 days old.
Songklanagarind Hospital in their hometown referred Nong Nudee to Chulalongkorn Hospital for more comprehensive treatment.
However, the journey took over 15 hours, resulting in significant expenses. Due to Nong Nudee's condition, her mother noticed that her symptoms often worsened during travel.
When the doctors and nurses introduced Mrs. Sareeda to the Ronald McDonald House, the family's expenses were greatly reduced. This alleviated Mrs. Sareeda's worries about caring for Nong Nudee because the Ronald McDonald House has staff on duty 24 hours a day.
They provide encouragement, making someone far from home like Mrs. Sareeda feel warm and supported.
Staying at the RMHC also allows Mrs. Sareeda to go up and care for Nong Nudee whenever her daughter needs encouragement. Being close by reduces anxiety because they don't have to stay elsewhere, far from their child.
